Jeff was born in Texas and grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. In high school, his best friend led Jeff to Christ, and Jeff began pursuing a call to ministry soon after. He has degrees from Belmont College, Auburn University, and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served as a pastor, a church planter with the International Mission Board in the Ile de France, and as a seminary professor.
Jeff met his wife, Melanie, in university and they have been married for 32 years. They have three children: Rachel, an attorney in Ohio; Jeffrey, a chef in Washington, D.C.; and Daniel, a university student in Mississippi.
Jeff and Melanie love doing ministry together and are passionate about teaching God’s Word, prayer, and serving. They long to see the nations know Jesus and believe the local church is the heart of that mission.
